FAA

The FAA required an addition and renovation to their Great Lakes Regional Office in Des Plaines, Illinois. The project was completed in three major phases.

Phase 1

Commercial Resources executed the complete interior build-out of the new 65,000 square foot facility in 87 calendar days. We were instrumental in expediting the work of the base building contractor. CRC’s efficiency accelerated the entire project, allowing the entire project to finish ahead of schedule.

Phase 2

CRC completely replaced the penthouse and all related MEP requirements (i.e. cooling towers, chillers, etc.) in the existing 200,000 square foot facility in 12 weeks. During the renovation, we maintained all required heating and cooling to the occupied areas.

Phase 3

CRC renovated the interior of the existing, occupied 200,000 square foot facility in eight separate phases. We completed the renovation in 18 months. This phase’s major challenge was completing the renovation around a fully operational facility. CRC is proud to say that through the work of our project management staff and field personnel, the FAA was able to maintain full operation throughout the 18 month renovation. For our efforts, Commercial Resources Construction received the “Certificate of Achievement” from the FAA.
